Faith Journeys with Pastor Jack
Join Us After Worship for Bible Study
“They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers…” (Acts 2:42)
That picture of the early church is simple and powerful—people learning together, sharing life, and growing in faith side by side. It’s not complicated… it’s connection.
We invite you to join us after worship for Bible study as we explore what it means to live that kind of faith today. Come for the conversation, the community, and the chance to grow together.
There’s a place for you at the table.

Greg Way's Sunday School Class
Our victorious Easter theme for the Genesis Class will be "Dominion." Please join us as we consider the struggles of our Patriarchs and Prophets, both ancient and modern.
The resurrected Jesus declared "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations... And remember, I am with you always, to the end of the age."
OK - So now what?

Adult Bible Study with Bill
The scripture for my lesson this Sunday comes from Psalm 78:1-8. In this lesson, we will examine how Psalms can help us tell old stories in new ways. This class is based on the Cokesbury Adult Bible Studies series, copies of which are provided without cost. I share my own insights and often cover different material than what's in the book. However, you may gain further insights into the lesson if you have the book. I encourage open discussion in our classes.

Southeast District Prayer Focus for April 20-26, 2026
League City United Methodist Church
| | |
League City UMC is a welcoming space where everyone—whether new to the area or a lifelong member—can come together to worship, reflect, and grow in faith. Our ministries include food trucks, student mentoring at a local elementary school, UMCOR trips, ESL classes, hosting support groups and therapy sessions, and so much more.
This week, we welcome prayer for our upcoming Annual Spaghetti Luncheon and Cake Auction on April 26th. This lively event brings our church family together to raise funds for our summer ministries, including UM ARMY, travel to Lakeview, junior high mission trip, and support for our college ministries. We have over 100 people participating in our youth/college summer ministries. Additionally, the proceeds help fund scholarships for participants in summer ministries and events throughout the year. We would be grateful for your prayers for a successful turnout, generous contributions, and a positive impact on our community.

ARE YOU LOOKING TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE?
HERE ARE SOME PLACES YOU CAN.
| | |
Family Promise
Are you looking for an occasional reminder that you are sitting in a comfortable seat in this world? That you have a roof over your head, food in your belly, and that, on many days, you are in control of the smaller things in your life - when to wake, sleep, eat, exercise, or bathe.
Family Promise can remind you!
Training required - about an hour.
Commitment - Seabrook United Methodist Church volunteers are on the roster 4 times a year, 2 evenings and/or nights a week. That’s 8 times a year max. And you can choose to participate just once a year and still support this program!
Our next host weeks:
MAY 10 - 17
AUGUST 16 -23
NOVEMBER 8 -15
Contributions - Purchasing, preparing, and serving dinner dishes. Eating and conversing with families. Interacting with children. Spending a night at our host church, Clear Lake United Methodist Church. And, with any of these, listening to and encouraging our Family Promise guests.
Reward - A glimpse into the lives of others who are currently challenging themselves to create a comfortable seat for their family in this world. They are working on this challenge with the support of the Family Promise program, and you can be a part of us.
