PASTOR’S LENTEN STUDY
During the season of Lent, Pastor Chuck will be leading a Lenten study.
The study will meet on Sunday afternoons at 3:30, beginning February 22 and concluding March 29.
The book we will be using is The Last Supper: Conversations That Led To The Cross by Will Willimon. From the back of the book: “Along the road from Palm Sunday to the cross, Jesus told stories - riddles that revealed the heart of God’s kingdom. Will Willimon invites us to walk that road again, listening to Jesus’ most memorable parables as we journey toward the upper room. Through stories of reckless sowers, searching shepherds, prodigal fathers, and open invitations, we discover a God who refuses to take no for an answer.” The book is available from Amazon or Cokesbury.com.
HOLY WEEK WORSHIP
Holy Week is the week between Palm/Passion Sunday and Easter Sunday. Thursday of Holy Week is the time when Christians remember the last supper. On Holy Thursday (April 2) the choir will present the cantata Calvary’s Lamb: A Song, A Sacrifice, A Savior by Mary McDonald. The service will begin at 7:00 pm. The service will include the celebration of the Eucharist. Childcare will be provided.
Friday of Holy Week (April 3) is Good Friday. Good Friday is the day Christians remember Jesus’ passion. The sanctuary will be open from 9:00 am to 12:00 noon for those who would like to come in and pray.
EASTER WORSHIP
We will begin Easter Sunday (April 5) with a Sunrise Service. The service will begin at 7:00 AM. Jack Womack will be preaching. The service will be at the church.
We will continue our celebration of Easter (April 5) with worship at 10:00 AM.
SPECIAL EVENTS
We will have an Easter Egg Hunt on Palm/Passion Sunday (March 29) right after worship.
We will have a Butterfly Release on Easter Sunday (April 5) at 9:15 AM.

Adult Bible Study with Bill
This class is based on the Cokesbury Adult Bible Studies series, copies of which are provided without cost. I share my own insights and often cover different material than what's in the book. However, you may gain further insights into the lesson if you have the book. I encourage open discussion in class. I strongly believe that we can all learn from the insight and experiences of others. It's all right to disagree with what I say; my goal is simply to help broaden your understanding of scripture.

Southeast District Prayer Focus for February 23 - March 1, 2026
Houston, Windsor Village UMC
| | |
The Windsor Village Church Family believes that we are called to build up the Kingdom of God here on earth as it is in Heaven. That’s why we refer to ourselves as Kingdom Builders. The Kingdom is not only for the distant future, but for the here and now. We are to live as the royal image bearers we are. Our job is to demonstrate the character of God to our families, jobs, and communities. We mirror God best and truly become Kingdom Builders when we learn to pray effectively and efficiently, study the Word prudently, worship passionately, and serve the community of faith and those outside our doors with courage and unselfish love.
Pray, “Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.”
You are invited to join in prayerful support of the ministries in the Southeast District. Each week, a congregation or ministry beyond the local church will be highlighted on our church newsletter and posted on the district Facebook page.
Through prayer, we become community.

ARE YOU LOOKING TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE?
HERE ARE SOME PLACES YOU CAN.
| | |
Family Promise
Are you looking for an occasional reminder that you are sitting in a comfortable seat in this world? That you have a roof over your head, food in your belly, and that, on many days, you are in control of the smaller things in your life - when to wake, sleep, eat, exercise, or bathe.
Family Promise can remind you!
Training required - about an hour.
Commitment - Seabrook United Methodist Church volunteers are on the roster 4 times a year, 2 evenings and/or nights a week. That’s 8 times a year max. And you can choose to participate just once a year and still support this program!
Our next host weeks:
MAY 10 - 17
AUGUST 16 -23
NOVEMBER 8 -15
Contributions - Purchasing, preparing, and serving dinner dishes. Eating and conversing with families. Interacting with children. Spending a night at our host church, Clear Lake United Methodist Church. And, with any of these, listening to and encouraging our Family Promise guests.
Reward - A glimpse into the lives of others who are currently challenging themselves to create a comfortable seat for their family in this world. They are working on this challenge with the support of the Family Promise program, and you can be a part of us.

Hello Seabrook United Methodist Church!
My name is Desiree and I am the Volunteer Coordinator at Anchor Hospice. I wanted to reach out to see if any members of your church would be interested in volunteering with our company. Anchor Hospice is rated in the top 10 hospices in the Houston area based on our google reviews. Most of our patients are located south of the Hwy 59 corridor. We have several patients in the Clear Lake, Pasadena, Texas City, and Pearland areas. There are many opportunities available that would make a meaningful impact on our patients and their families.
If this is something you would be interested in, you can contact me at dgarcia@anchorhospice.com
