COMMUNION RAIL OFFERING
Peace With Justice Offering
This Sunday we will celebrate communion. As is our custom, we will collect a communion rail offering. This special offering will go to peace with justice ministries. Peace with justice ministries work for peace and fairness around the world, remembering that Jesus calls us to be peacemakers.

United Women in Faith’s June Meeting
Good Morning, Ladies of Faith,
Our June meeting will be on Tuesday, June 9th at 3pm. Please join us in the fellowship hall for our annual Book Review meeting. Come with your favorite book and a list with title and author if there are other books you would like to share.
We will also be prepping Feminine Hygiene kits for the Texas Congress. Attached is the signup list from our earlier meeting. If you won’t be able to attend and you volunteered to bring something, please give it to someone who is attending or drop it off at the church office with Velita.
Our May Meeting Minutes and 2026 Budget documents are attached. We are so looking forward to seeing you there!

Annual Volunteer Renewal
Thank you for your continued commitment of service to our church by volunteering with children, youth, and all church events.
To ensure a safe, secure, and nurturing environment, all volunteers are required to complete a background check and renewal each year, along with Safe Sanctuary Training. This process is done online and is required for anyone working with or around children and youth or assisting with church-sponsored events.

The Bryan Museum in Galveston.
Located in the restored historic Galveston Orphans Home, it features items from ancient Native American artifacts to rare books, firearms, and fine art, with a focus on the history of Texas and the American West.
For a limited time, there will be a Special Exhibit: Karankawa, Voices from the Texas Gulf Coast. This exhibit explores both the historical world of the Karankawa and the living community that exists today.
Also, a ½ hour video that will show how the 1900 storm affected the Orphans Home.
Bus leaves the Church parking lot at 8:45 AM
Museum price is $19.00

Adult Bible Study with Bill
The scripture for next week comes from Acts 4:1-22. In this lesson, we will examine the Holy Spirit’s role in empowering the church.
This class is based on the Cokesbury Adult Bible Studies series, copies of which are provided without cost. I share my own insights and often cover different material than what's in the book. However, you may gain further insights into the lesson if you have the book. I welcome open discussion in our classes.

Easter, Christmas, Epiphany, and Pentecost - They all tell a story. But Trinity Sunday defies our story-telling skills.
Our celebration of the Trinity asks that we focus on the most difficult - maybe the most paradoxically true yet illogical - doctrine of our faith, but do we find ourselves circling around the “How?” or the “Why?” of the Trinity? How do we make sense of God the Three-in-One? How do we explain the Trinity without falling into heresy? Why do we declare a doctrine that has no direct reference in scripture?
Maybe we should stop to consider that those may not be the right questions.
And maybe then we will see a mystery beyond understanding become the mystery that grounds a faith beyond measure.

What does faith look like when you do not yet know where the road will lead?
This Sunday in Bible Study we will explore Genesis 12:1–9 — the story of Abram hearing God’s call to leave everything familiar and journey into an unknown future guided only by promise and trust.
Abram’s story is not just ancient history. It speaks to every season of life when we are called to step forward in faith, even without having all the answers.
Together we will talk about calling, trust, risk, blessing, and what it means to follow God one step at a time.
No preparation is needed, and everyone is welcome. Whether you have studied the Bible for years or are simply curious, there is a place for you in the conversation.
Come join us this Sunday as we journey with Abram and consider where God may still be calling people today.

Family Promise
Are you looking for an occasional reminder that you are sitting in a comfortable seat in this world? That you have a roof over your head, food in your belly, and that, on many days, you are in control of the smaller things in your life - when to wake, sleep, eat, exercise, or bathe.
Family Promise can remind you!
Training required - about an hour.
Commitment - Seabrook United Methodist Church volunteers are on the roster 4 times a year, 2 evenings and/or nights a week. That’s 8 times a year max. And you can choose to participate just once a year and still support this program!
Our next host weeks:
AUGUST 16 -23
NOVEMBER 8 -15
Contributions - Purchasing, preparing, and serving dinner dishes. Eating and conversing with families. Interacting with children. Spending a night at our host church, Clear Lake United Methodist Church. And, with any of these, listening to and encouraging our Family Promise guests.
Reward - A glimpse into the lives of others who are currently challenging themselves to create a comfortable seat for their family in this world. They are working on this challenge with the support of the Family Promise program, and you can be a part of us.
