Your City At Work

THIS WEEK'S GOOD NEWS

January 11, 2024

Thanks to the recent storms, the Water Division is measuring more snow in our watershed than we've ever recorded at this time of year!

The Santa Fe Human Rights Alliance and our Office of Economic Development hosted a successful "LGBTQ+ Business and Allies: Equal Grounds" event at Paseo Pottery on Tuesday.

The City's Community Development Commission has a new chair and a new commissioner to support their important work as we begin 2024.

A FEW MORE HIGHLIGHTS

✓  The Main Branch of the Santa Fe Public Library will begin hosting free creative writing workshops on the first and third Tuesdays of the month (starting Jan. 16).

✓  The City and Santa Fe Solid Waste Management Agency have offered free tree recycling since Christmas, diverting real trees from the landfill and turning them into soil-supporting mulch instead.

✓  The City and partners have activated Code Blue protocols throughout the week, offering extra resources and support to unsheltered people throughout the city in the face of cold winter weather.

✓  The Santa Fe Teen Center has expanded its hours on Wednesdays and Fridays in order to serve more teens in the community.
