Your City At Work

THIS WEEK'S GOOD NEWS

March 13, 2024

The next step in the Safe Outdoor Spaces Pilot Project has been completed! 10 modest-sized (8' x 8') houses known as "pallet shelters" were placed at Christ Lutheran Church. The houses will provide residents a comfortable, secure, and dignified shelter.

The City of Santa Fe Department of Arts & Culture is working with The Santa Fe Gallery Association on the curation of eight contemporary art exhibitions for the new terminal expansion at the Santa Fe Regional Airport. These exhibitions will highlight museum-worthy local art, and established and emerging artists.

The Office of Emergency Management was awarded $219,849.00 in SHSGP funds. These will be allocated for a state-of-the-art hazardous materials detector for the Fire Department, training and equipment for the Police Department's Crisis Negotiation Team and SWAT Team, and technical assistance to enhance OEM's GIS capabilities.
