Hello! Here is your latest City Update.
Celebrate the Holiday Season
with the City of Palm Coast
Mark your calendars it wouldn't be the holidays in Palm Coast without the Rotary Club of Flagler County's Fantasy Lights!

It's returning in 2020 with 53 displays, including four brand-new ones. The event will kick-off on Saturday, Nov. 28, and run through Wednesday, Dec. 30. Each evening from 6:30-9 p.m. the displays will illuminate Central Park and holiday music will fill the air!

And this year, we invite residents to take part in our new Holiday Light Fight!

Households can enter their property into the competition at palmcoastgov.com/holiday-light-fight. Judging will take place on Dec. 19 and winners will be selected in the following categories: Best in Show, Brightest House, Best Theme and Most Interesting Decoration.

Honors Local Veterans on Veterans Day
Many had the day off from work or school, but dozens of City of Palm Coast staff served 350 meals as a way to honor local veterans on Veterans Day in drive-thru fashion - a slight change from the original plan due to weather.

Recognizes Passing of Louis McCarthy
It is with a heavy heart that we say goodbye to our neighbor and friend, Louis McCarthy. Louis was a great example of civic engagement and we are grateful for his involvement and contributions to our community.

“We are saddened to learn of Louis McCarthy's passing. As members of the city council, we encourage residents to communicate with us and give us feedback about the decisions made in the community. Louis did so on many occasions and we respect that so much and will remember him for his civic engagement. He may not physically be there at meetings anymore, but I know he will be there in spirit."

– Mayor Milissa Holland
