A December to Remember

The City of Casa Grande Community Services Department is planning A December to Remember that is full of free community events to enjoy with your loved ones. Mark your calendar for all of our celebrations including the 28th Annual Electric Light Parade & Pictures with Santa on Saturday December 3rd.


You won't want to miss our December to Remember series at Peart Park that includes a Find the Elf by Thyself & evening of Downtown Casa Grande activities, a Pop Up Ornament Decoration Station, Gingerbread Casas and Cookie Bash, and our huge Grande Glitters Extravaganza.


Make any night a festive one! Our beloved 'tour on your own' Deck the House Light Tour is back, maps will be available from December 12th-December 31st.

Street Closures for the 2022 Electric Light Parade planned for Saturday, December 3rd are as follows:


  • Florence St. between Florence Blvd. and 2nd St. (Parade Route) 11:00 AM – 10:00 PM
  • Pottebaum Ave. between 9th & Florence Blvd. (Staging) 2:30 PM – 10:00 PM
  • Colorado St. between 9th & Florence Blvd. (Band staging) 3:00 PM – 10:00 PM
  • Florence Blvd, Peart Rd. to Florence St. (Parade Route) 4:00 PM – 10:00 PM

We had a blast keeping our Len Colla Thanksgiving dinner tradition going for the year. Thank you to the Boys and Girls Club of the Sun Corridor team for helping us handout over 200 meals and making dinnertime a breeze for Casa Grande families this week!

Now Hiring: Youth Basketball Officials 

Our season is just around the corner and we need a few more Youth Basketball Officials to support our leagues and enhance this incredible community program. Individuals 16+ can earn $15-20 per game and applying takes just a few minutes!

Teach a Class at the Rec!

Are you certified to teach cheer, tumbling, or other youth activities? You might be a good fit for our team of Recreation Center SIC Contractors. Our Special Interest Classes are provided by third parties contracted by the City of Casa Grande Community Services Department.

Our Youth Commission is collaborating with the Casa Grande Chamber of Commerce to bring you a night of networking and collaboration. RSVP for their upcoming Business After Hours mixer planned for January 25th at 5:15PM. Fees may apply.

Join our team at the Casa Grande Community Recreation Center! We currently have multiple Front Desk positions available, these are part-time positions. Some our Front Desk duties consist of park reservations, recreational program registration, CRC gym memberships and check-ins. Email us your resume to get started.
