The Value of CHEA Recognition

CoAEMSP manages the accreditation process for Paramedic programs. When Paramedic programs meet the minimum accreditation standards, they are recommended to the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) for accreditation. CAAHEP makes the final decision. So, who gives CAAHEP the authority to award accreditation? The Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) does!

The Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) has produced a short video highlighting CHEA recognition of accrediting organizations in the United States. The two-minute video promotes understanding of the value of CHEA recognition, not just to accreditors but to the institutions and programs they accredit, as well as to students, parents and society.

The video reflects the commitment of CHEA and its members to advancing quality assurance and improvement in higher education. WATCH IT NOW!
