AHF Community Services Update
August 2022
Pencils and notebooks and backpacks...oh my! It's that time of year again -- back to the rhythms and routines of the school year. AHF regularly encourages education as a way for our residents to expand their knowledge, grow professionally, break cycles of poverty and build a bright future.

This month, several of our apartment communities hosted Back to School events to ensure students have the supplies they need for a successful year! Waters at Augusta in Greenville, SC, partnered with a local school to host a Back to School event for their residents. They distributed book bags filled with school supplies along with free food and drinks.

Community Manager Ashley Johnson said, "At least 200 kids were served. We had barbecue, lemon pepper and hot wings with fruit. The property as a whole was very grateful...This event was very helpful for families that were in need."
Arrowood Apartments in Houston, TX, connected their residents with a nearby school supply event, and Silver Leaf Villas in Fort Worth and Covington Creek in Irving passed out school supplies donated by local vendors.

We're so grateful for our on-site staff that coordinate these service events as well as the community partners that help us meet the needs of our residents.
