Many single parents like this resident are struggling financially. And with kids out of school for the summer, the need to provide all three meals for them adds to their concern.
Jewel Foundation has been key in meeting this need as well. They've provided lunches for Covington Creek children for the past three years. During the school year, they bring meals a couple of afternoons per week. But during summer vacation they come Monday through Friday. This gives parents one less meal to worry about while kids are home all day.
Maria is continually looking for ways she can help the Covington Creek community. She said, "My goal is to partner with multiple organizations to further help our residents live and feel more comfortable."
Keep up the great work!
