Grant Applications Now Accepted For Tourism Funds
Deadline to apply is Friday September 28 
The City of Bothell's 2018-2019 Tourism Grant Program, with $50,000 aimed at bringing new, original events and activities in and around Bothell, is now accepting grant applications. The program is designed to help non-profit organizations and municipal entities with events, programs or activities that spur overnight stays in Bothell hotels, such as an arts festival, sports tournament, or community-wide event.  Funds are available for marketing/advertising costs only. The Tourism Grant Program is competitive. Applications are due no later than Friday, September 28, 2018. Funded projects must occur from November 27, 2018 to December 31, 2019. Grant Details & FAQs

Judy Rantz Willman, daughter of Joe Rantz, a member of the 1936 U.S. men's Olympic eight-oar rowing team and main character in the book, "The Boys in the Boat- A Daughter Remembers"  is presenting at McMenamins Anderson School in Bothell as the August speaker in their Pub Night Talks series.  Rantz shares stories and talks about the origins of the book by Daniel James Brown that describes the University of Washington crew's epic quest for the gold medal at the 1936 Summer Olympics in Berlin. To welcome all of their new and returning students to campus UW Bothell is sponsoring a window decorating contest in the downtown Bothell area the week of September 17th-21st, judging will take place on the 20th. Any downtown business is invited to participate!
Please email to sign up, the first 25 participants will get a starter-kit with paint, brushes, and tons of purple and gold!  Go Huskies!

The Riley Group Welcomes New Senior Environmental Manager

The Riley Group, Inc. (RGI) is pleased to announce Audrey R. Heisey, LHG as Senior Environmental Manager. Audrey brings over 15 years of consulting and regulatory oversight experience related to natural resources, geologic analysis, and cleanup actions throughout the Pacific Northwest. She has conducted numerous facility compliance inspections, contaminated site characterization/definition, and remediation for major oil companies, state and local entities, utilities, commercial, and industrial clients. As RGI's Senior Environmental Manager, she will continue to provide business minded environmental solutions while collaborating successfully with regulatory and private sectors.
