CFSA Mourns the Loss of Felicia Grant

Felicia Grant, a beloved member of our In-Home team, dedicated 18 years to CFSA. She started as an adoption social worker and later served as a permanency specialist. Most recently, she was working in the in-home services department. A native of New York, Ms. Grant was not only a talented actress in Christian plays but also cherished for her family-oriented, humorous, and generous nature. We encourage those who were close to her to support one another during this challenging time. For those significantly affected by this loss, the INOVA Employee Assistance Program is available 24/7 at 1-800-346-0110 or online at Inova.org/eap (Username: DCGOV, Password: DCGOV).

Celebrating Hispanic Heritage Year Round

Join us as Alicha Jones, Ana Burgos, Tanya Torres Trice, and Mariella Arias share what their Hispanic heritage means to them. Click the image below to watch the video.

CFSA's DC One Fund Kick-off

Last month, Director Robert L. Matthews energized the crowd at CFSA's One Fund Kickoff with a resounding "Show me the money." Social Excellence rocked the mic, and there were enticing DC SWAG giveaways. Director Matthews passionately promoted fair share giving, especially acknowledging those with forgiven student loans. The event featured Jonathan Tate, a dedicated DC firefighter and the founder of "Food on the Stove," a nonprofit improving firefighter health. Lively raffles and prize distributions added excitement.
