Tuesday Talk with the Director

Earlier this week, we kicked off Tuesday Talk with the Director, a bi-weekly video series where our Director, Robert L. Matthews, discusses the latest trends and topics that impact our CFSA family. In this first episode, the Director sat down with CFSA's Assistant General Counsel, Paul Kratchman, who not only served at CFSA for nearly 30 years but was recently nominated for and won our agency "Got What You Need" superlative at the End of the Year Celebration. Important Personnel Updates

Last week, Nichole Cobbs was selected to fill the role of Administrator in the Office of the Deputy Director for Out-of-Home Support. Nichole has her Master of Social Work from Howard University. She has over 25 years of experience in social work and child welfare, which she attained here at CFSA! She has served the Agency in various capacities, including as a social worker, supervisory social worker, program manager, and Interim Placement Administrator. As program manager, Nichole provided clinical supervision to staff and responded to inquiries regarding subsidy and post-permanency services. Please join me in congratulating Nichole on this much-deserved promotion! Thank you for supporting Nicole Cobbs in this new role!
CFSA Hosts Committee Chair on Facilities and Family Services

Earlier this month, Director Robert L. Matthews hosted Councilmember Janeese Lewis George during her visit to the agency. They discussed key issues affecting CFSA families and Ward 4 residents. The Director gave Councilmember George a tour of the facilities and highlighted our agency staff's hard work and vital role in caring for DC's most vulnerable children.
