Be Prepared for Winter Driving Conditions!
Tips for Safe Winter Driving
Whether your employees drive for work duties or not, you need to ensure that they are safe on the roads during their commute and throughout the workday. Motor Vehicle Accidents are a leading cause of fatalities in Ontario.

Here are a few tips that you can use to ensure the safety of your employees during their commute and workday. Encourage them to:
  • Slow down and drive at a speed that is suitable to the conditions;
  • Increase their following distance to make sure they can brake safely;
  • Stay alert and reduce distractions in their vehicle;
  • Keep their windows and mirrors clean by using their defroster and wipers; and
  • If visibility is near zero, pull off the road into a safe parking area, if possible.
