Pam Dorsten has been with the Council for just over 21 years. GCCOA Director Karen Puterbaugh hired Pam in January 2000 as the second paid team member soon after the first Senior Services Levy was passed.

Pam brought many skills and talents to her position of Resource Coordinator, with the most compelling being her passion for seniors and caregivers. Pam had enjoyed a fulfilling position with the University of Dayton, but the opportunity to be a part of the Council was a perfect fit. Pam, who was born to care for others, cared for her Mother who had Alzheimer’s disease for many years and has been in several other caregiving roles since. Her caregiving experience allowed her to not only provide helpful information to the seniors and caregivers contacting the Council, but to understand and appreciate the journey they were on.
