BREAKING NEWS: Vaccination Recommended for Pregnant People

The COVID vaccine is now recommended by professional societies representing Obstetrician/Gynecologists as well as the Society for Maternal Fetal Medicine, physicians who care for high risk pregnant people. The Centers for Disease Control also recommends the vaccine being given to pregnant women stating – COVID-19 vaccination is recommended for all people aged 12 years and older, including people who are pregnant, breastfeeding, trying to get pregnant now, or might become pregnant in the future. Pregnant and recently pregnant people are more likely to get severely ill with COVID-19 compared with non-pregnant people. Getting a COVID-19 vaccine can protect you from severe illness from COVID-19.

Self Care Tips

Schedule a massage or a pedicure. Take a trip. Of course we’d all like to be able to do these things on a regular basis. But contrary to the messages that we sometimes get from the media, you can practice several self-care strategies in just a few minutes a day and at no cost.

Read our tips and remember that it is important to prioritize care for yourself.
