The Central Jersey Family Health Consortium's monthly newsletter provides timely updates, guidance and resources to empower families and providers to make informed decisions about their wellness and safety. It's one of many ways we work to ensure a legacy of health; one family at a time, one month at a time.

BREAKING NEWS: Vaccination Recommended for Pregnant People

The COVID vaccine is now recommended by professional societies representing Obstetrician/Gynecologists as well as the Society for Maternal Fetal Medicine, physicians who care for high risk pregnant people. The Centers for Disease Control also recommends the vaccine being given to pregnant women stating – COVID-19 vaccination is recommended for all people aged 12 years and older, including people who are pregnant, breastfeeding, trying to get pregnant now, or might become pregnant in the future. Pregnant and recently pregnant people are more likely to get severely ill with COVID-19 compared with non-pregnant people. Getting a COVID-19 vaccine can protect you from severe illness from COVID-19.

Read our tips and remember that it is important to prioritize care for yourself.
