Staggered After-School Dismissal Begins TOMORROW, Monday 10/23
DHHS Parents and Guardians,

Starting TOMORROW, Monday, October 23rd we will implement a staggered dismissal at the end of our school day. We have a significant increase in the number of students attending DHHS. In order to have a well organized, orderly and safe dismissal, students faculty and staff will follow this dismissal schedule -

3:10 bell: 1. walkers, 2. drivers and 3. car riders exit building - These students are expected to go straight to the parking lot and exit the campus. 4. Athletes to report to locker rooms.

3:15 – 3:20: NO Bell – 5. Bus riders called by bus route to exit - students riding buses which are in the bus lane will be called out over the PA to board their buses. Students will be called by specific bus numbers i.e. “Please dismiss student who ride routes 505, 520 and 500.”

3:20 – buses pull from bus lane.

3:20 - bell to dismiss 5. remaining bus riders (late buses) and 6. extracurricular students

As always, please contact the front office 678-874-6303, or shoot me an email mark_joyner@dekalbschoolsga.org if you have any questions about the new procedure.

Thanks,

Mark Joyner, Principal

DHHS Snack Bar Looking for Volunteers
Parents, if you have a flexible work schedule and would like to get a chance to observe DHHS from the inside, sign up to serve in the after school snack bar once a month! Volunteers serve from 2:45-4:15 with a partner, selling snacks and having fun getting to see kids interact with each other in a student center space in the gym lobby. The snack bar also needs one person to shop and two subs who can serve on an as-needed basis. For more information or to sign up, contact Kim Goldsmith.
