There is still space in "Olaf's Oasis" Respite Day. If you have already registered for our other CP Kids and Families Respite event in December, pleases save space for someone else.

Izzy Wheels!

A sister in Dublin, Ireland noticed that her younger sister’s chair was the first thing people noticed about her but it wasn’t a reflection of her bright and bubbly personality.

So together they have designed a range of stylish wheel covers that express a wheelchair users individuality and personality.  Izzy Wheels transforms a medical device into a piece of fashion and self expression. The waterproof wheel covers come in 3 sizes and fit onto any manual wheelchair.
They will ship to Canada.

CP Kids and Families want to help make holiday wishes come true. We are looking for businesses or organizations to adopt two deserving families raising a child living with CP.

Please contact emily@calgarycp.org if you can help.
As parents of children with special needs, worrying about the future seems be part of our daily lives. Some questions parents ask themselves are: Will my child live with me forever? Who will take care of my child if something happens to me?

Please join us for a compassionate and caring discussion to come up with ideas to create the perfect
home for our adult kids.

RDSP Turns 11

Written by: Audrey Veltri

THE RDSP TURNS 11… What does that mean for you? This means that if you have not yet opened an RDSP, you might be permanently missing out on grant money.

The Registered Disability Savings Plan- RDSP, is a federal program which started in 2008. The program was designed as a long-term savings plan to help Canadians with Disabilities to save and financially prepare for the future.

This December, on Soft Rock 97.7 , instead of focusing attention on just one organization, the station has decided to do something called the 12 Days of Caring. Each day they will feature a specific charity that deserves support and recognition.

We are so excited to announce that CP Kids and Families was chosen to be one of the 12 Days of Caring Recipients.

So...Dec 17 they will feature CP Kids and Families all day on the radio, on their social media sites, and most importantly bring tons of awareness to us and highlight the need we have for funding.

Be sure to tune in on Dec 17.
Coffee Socials are a great way to connect with other parents and to receive support from us. Please join us on the 2nd Tuesday of each month. Drop in anytime
between 9:30 and 11:30am.
Would your child be interested in the Winter 2019 Youth Adapted Soccer/Ball Hockey program?
Please note our office will be closing at noon on
Dec 21st and reopening on January 2nd.

We extend our warmest wishes to you and yours this
holiday season!
