JOIN THE GIVING MOVEMENT
From the entire Friends of Chabot College team, THANK YOU for your support this year! Although 2020 has brought new challenges, your support made the following possible:
  • A COVID-19 rapid emergency aid campaign launched, which distributed $340,000 in aid to students, with the first check cut on April 16, 2020.
  • Over $95,000 in scholarships were awarded, marking the highest amount awarded to date.

We are incredibly proud of and humbled by our community's deep commitment to supporting students on their higher education journey. However, our work is just beginning.

2021 may be one of the most financially stringent years ever for our students and programs. More students continue to lose their jobs or have significant hours reduced, while the need for academic and basic needs support programs increases. Your support is more important than ever before.

This Giving Tuesday, join us in raising funds supporting Chabot College students and programs. Donate today! Any amount can help support students to succeed in school.
Did you know, Chabot students who receive emergency aid are more likely to persist and succeed?

Course success and persistence rates for Spring 2020 aid recipients were much higher than similar students who did not receive aid: 75% vs. 49% and 69% vs. 47%, respectively (Chabot Office of Institutional Research).

Shell Eco-Marathon: Congratulations,
Chabot College Engineering Collective!
In November 2020, the Chabot College Engineering Collective competed in the Shell EcoMarathon Pitch the Future Competition

Chabot was awarded Regional Wildcard Winner for North and South America, placing in the global top four. Notably, Chabot is the only community college team, and the only school in the United States to be announced as a regional winner. This victory led Chabot to be awarded the People's Choice Award.
To learn more about the Chabot College Engineering Collective's design submission, check-out the team's video summarizing the project.

Bravo, Gladiators!
