As September draws to a close and our patients and staff are getting into the routine of the new school year, we find ourselves excited for this fall season to come! While we'll miss those summer vibes, we're finally entering the era of pumpkin spice, apple picking, and cozy sweaters. Fall is filled with all kinds of sweet treats we love to indulge in! A friendly reminder to brush those teeth, preferably with an electric tooth brush, after drinking that delicious apple cider or pumpkin spice latte to help maintain dental health during the season.
Looking for a healthy seasonal snack? Consider apples! Apples contain natural teeth cleaning properties, helping reduce the bacteria and saliva that promote cavities. They can also help remove other food particles stuck in the teeth. Make sure you still brush and floss after about thirty to sixty minutes after your snack though; we want to make sure those sugars that make apples so delicious don't stay in the mouth and counteract all that healthy work!
