If you were referred to Dr. Creech at your latest dental cleaning, you may be wondering why, and what's next! Once our patients turn seven years old, we begin referring out for an orthodontic check up, just to make sure everything in your child's mouth is developing the way it should.
During this complimentary exam, Jillian, our treatment coordinator, will grab some photos and x-rays for Dr. Creech to review. Afterwards, Dr. Creech will come in, take a look at your child's mouth, and let you know if there is any recommended treatment. Some things she will look for include your child's bite, alignment, and tooth development and growth (That's when those x-rays come in handy!).
Once Dr. Creech has finished her exam and reviewed any questions with you, Jillian will present you with the recommended treatment options, along with the financials. Unsure of what steps to take or need to sleep on the decision? No worries! We always encourage families to think about the different options overtime; Jillian is more than happy to follow up with you at a later date and answer any follow up questions you may have!
And there you have it; our orthodontic consult! Each appointment is about an hour long, and they book up fast!
