AVOID TRAFFIC CONGESTION
On race night, arrive in Downtown
before 6:00pm using any of the easy access corridors via Church Street, East Street, South Camp Road and Marcus Garvey Drive. The eight (8) secured parking lots and staging area at the rear of the Digicel building on Port Royal Street open at 4:00pm with amusement and other activities including the popular pre-race aerobic warm-up at 6:20pm.
If you wish to leave before the roads reopen at 8:30pm, we suggest you park at either the Myers, Fletcher & Gordon lots, the Old Fisheries Complex or at the Downtown Transport Center.
TIMELINESS IS EVERYTHING
The Wheelchair race starts at
7:00pm, the Run + Fun race at
7:05pm, followed by the Walk race at
The start line will close at 7:45pm.
The Digicel 5K will once again feature MYLAPS BibTag timing. Do not bend or fold your race bib as you may damage the chip and this will affect your race time. You must cross the mats at the start and finish to get an accurate race time. The number one complaint, "I didn't get a chip time" is solved by not covering your bib while starting/stoppng your watch, and not jamming up close to others as you cross the timing mats. Our
Chip Timing Guidelines
will tell you more.
All roads leading to the race route and staging area will be closed to vehicular traffic between 6:30pm and 8:30pm.
Parking is not permitted along the race route and on the streets in and around the staging area. The Digicel 5K starts on Ocean Boulevard and loops through downtown Kingston before finishing on Port Royal Street. View the race + parking map
STAGING AREA ACCESS
The race staging area will only be accessible to registered participants. If you plan to come with a spouse, friend, child or support crew, they will need special supporter armbands. Contribution is $500 - available for purchase when collecting your race packet.
NO BIB or SUPPORTER ARMBAND = NO ENTRY.
