Hon. Sarah L. Deneke (Ret.)
Retired Judge, Fredericksburg Circuit Court
The Honorable Sarah L. Deneke has retired after seventeen years of distinguished judicial service. Most recently, she served thirteen years on the 15th Judicial Circuit Court with one term as Chief Judge. Prior to that, she served four years on the General District Court. Before her judicial service, Judge Deneke enjoyed a successful career in private practice and served as an Assistant Commonwealth’s Attorney for Fairfax County and as a Deputy Commonwealth’s Attorney for Spotsylvania and Stafford Counties. Among her many credentials, she is a former Faculty Member of the Virginia State Bar’s Professionalism Course and a former recipient of the Assistant Commonwealth’s Attorney of the Year Award. Judge Deneke now brings this record of dedication and accomplishment to The McCammon Group to serve the mediation, arbitration, judge pro tempore, and special master needs of lawyers and litigants throughout the Commonwealth.

Hon. Michele D. Hotten (Ret.)
Retired Justice, Supreme Court of Maryland
The Honorable Michele D. Hotten recently retired after nine years of distinguished service as a Justice on the Supreme Court of Maryland. She previously served as a Judge on the Court of Special Appeals of Maryland and as an Associate Judge on the Circuit and District Courts for Prince George’s County. Before her service on the bench, Justice Hotten enjoyed a successful law practice and served as an Assistant State’s Attorney for Prince George’s County, the Examiner in Chancery for Prince George’s County, and was the Deputy People’s Zoning Counsel for Prince George’s County. A Fellow of the Maryland Bar Foundation, Justice Hotten is a Past President of the J. Franklyn Bourne Bar Association, Prince George’s County Bar Association, and Alan Goldstein Inns of Court. In 2023, she received the Women’s Bar Association of Maryland’s Rita C. Davidson Award and J. Franklyn Bourne Bar Association’s President’s Award in recognition of her outstanding contributions. Justice Hotten now brings this exceptional record of leadership and accomplishment to The McCammon Group to serve the mediation, arbitration, and special master needs of lawyers and litigants in Maryland, DC, and beyond.

Hon. Glen A. Huff (Ret.)
Former Chief Judge, Virginia Court of Appeals
The Honorable Glen A. Huff has retired after more than thirteen years of distinguished judicial service on the Virginia Court of Appeals, including four years as Chief Judge. Prior to his judicial service, he enjoyed a successful private practice specializing in civil litigation. A legal, governmental, and community leader, Judge Huff is the Founding Member and Past President of the James Kent American Inn of Court and served as the President for the Virginia Beach Bar Association, Virginia Beach Forum, and the local chapter of the Federal Bar Association. He also served on boards for the Norfolk-Portsmouth Bar Association, Virginia Symphony, and Central Business District Association. Judge Huff now brings this exemplary record of excellence and experience to The McCammon Group to serve the mediation, arbitration, judge pro tempore, and special master needs of lawyers and litigants throughout the Commonwealth and beyond.

Hon. Anita Josey-Herring (Ret.)
Retired Chief Judge, Superior Court of the District of Columbia
The Honorable Anita Josey-Herring, the first woman to serve as Chief Judge of the Superior Court of the District of Columbia, recently retired after twenty-seven years of distinguished judicial service. As the Deputy Presiding Judge and later the Presiding Judge of the Family Division, she played a key role in reorganizing what is now known as the Family Court. Prior to her appointment to the bench, she served as the Deputy Director of the District of Columbia Public Defender Service. A respected legal, governmental, and community leader, Judge Josey-Herring has served as the 4th District Chair of the National Association of Women Judges, a Member of the National Council of Juvenile and Family Court Judges Board of Trustees, and Chair of the Judicial Council of the Washington Bar Association. She is a past recipient of Washingtonian’s Most Powerful Women Award and the Women’s Bar Association of the District of Columbia’s Woman Lawyer of the Year Award. Judge Josey-Herring now brings this exemplary record of dedication and leadership to The McCammon Group to serve the mediation and arbitration needs of lawyers and litigants in D.C. and beyond.
