FAMILY SPOTLIGHT

Dear Durango Derailers,

When Bridger was born 10 weeks early, we found ourselves facing a lengthy NICU stay in Denver, seven hours away from home. Of course, the hardship, doctors appts, and diagnoses don't often stop at discharge. We faced many trips back to the city for appointments, studies, surgeries, and follow ups.

Durango Derailers helped alleviate the mounting costs of traveling back and forth constantly. We also knew that we had people in our community that were rooting for us and for our baby boy. We are endlessly grateful Durango Derailers and all of the supporters, sponsors, riders, and dancers who have helped give our son so much hope in facing his challenges!

What’s better than riding bikes AND raising money to help local children receive the speciality care they need? That’s right, not much at all! Are you in? Join Team Durango Derailers–Climb for Kids and ride in this year's Iron Horse Bicycle Classic!

We will provide a FREE Iron Horse registration, a custom team jersey and water bottle, and fundraising tools, and you commit to raising $300 for our cause while riding in your choice of IHBC event!

Year in Review

Graze & Fundraise - Grassburger donated 10% of their sales for the day to DDPAF, and we got to bring the cycling team together for dinner to kick off the Iron Horse ride as well as showcase and distribute our custom team jersey!

Iron Horse Bicycle Classic - 64 riders braved a freezing cold 52nd Iron Horse Bicycle Classic. These athletes pedaled to bring HOPE and COURAGE to our local kids, collecting over $50,000 in donations! We are so thankful for each and every one of them!

Courage Classic - Nicole Manfredonia joined other riders on the Psyched to Climb team at the Courage Classic in Summit County. Psyched to Climb is an organization we have recently partnered with to focus on the mental health needs of our local kids. This is the 18th year the Durango Derailers Team has ridden in the Courage Classic!

Helping Hands for Kids - families joined us to connect with other Derailers families and enjoy some pizza and The Powerhouse space. We look forward to hosting this event again in 2025!

Iron Horse Registration Party - we loved seeing you all at Mountain Bike Specialists on Noel Night for the locals Iron Horse registration. We signed up over 50 riders to join our team and got to share all about what Team Durango Derailers is doing in our community.
