Advancing Racial Equity Within Nonprofit Organizations -
In this
Report
from 2018, one of key findings was identifying pathways of engagement that most nonprofit organizations followed in their racial equity work. These stages along the pathway of promoting racial equity included:
- Have not done anything yet
- Have begun having conversations
- Have participated in a training(s) and/or started to develop capacity in other ways
- Have adjusted internal policies, practices and/or values to intentionally promote racial equity
- Have made it an integral part of internal culture, values, practices, and policies.
We have curated additional
Resources for Education and Action
to help better understand the issues around inequity and racism in our communities and in the nonprofit sector. These first steps are steps we are
committed to taking
as we plan upcoming conversations, trainings, and actions to address these issues together.
