The deadline is quickly approaching for the Out-of-School-Time RFP, and we have been busy answering your questions. We are currently seeking applications from county residents to serve on the Escambia Children's Trust oversight board. We have two seats opening due to Pastor Lonnie Wesley III and Dr. Rex Northup's terms expiring on December 31, 2022.

The application consists of completing an application, a questionnaire for Gubernatorial Appointments, and submitting an optional resume. The Escambia County Board of County Commissioners will consider applications and forward selected applicants to the governor for consideration. Great news! The Escambia Children's Trust board approved entering into an agreement with Kessler Creative to design, publish, print and distribute 50,000 copies of a comprehensive family resource guide (in English and Spanish) for the benefit of children and families across our county. 

Kessler Creative is the firm that works with numerous Children's Services Councils across Florida to develop informational resources on programs and services. The Escambia Children's Trust seeks responsive bids from qualified law firms to serve as counsel in the event of a conflict of interest for ECT’s general counsel, Clark Partington Attorneys at Law.

The term of the resulting contract will be one year with options for two additional years. The award determination will be based on the best interest of ECT. 

The submission deadline for this ITB has been extended through November 4, 2022 at 3:30 p.m. CST.

At our October board meeting, the following actions were taken: 

• Awarded a contract for audit services totaling $20,500 to Brown, Thornton, Pacenta & Company, P.A. 

• Awarded a contract for cloud-based agenda management, live meeting and public records request platform to Prime Gov in the amount of $32,641
