In moments of uncertainty, the Fort Meade Alliance continues to stand united with community partners to ensure military families receive the stability, resources, and connection they need to thrive.
On October 17th, the FMA joined forces with Blue Star Families and Maryland Department of Veterans and Military Families for a special Nourish the Service event supporting 50 Fort Meade families impacted by the government shutdown. Families gathered for an evening of pizza, games, and community building while taking home “Taco ‘bout the Impact” dinner kits to continue meaningful conversations about challenges and resilience at home. The night served as a powerful reminder that when challenges arise, we are strongest when we face them together.

The Fort Meade Alliance held its annual Howard County Tech Mania event on December 5th, bringing together more than 100 students from Howard and Carroll County for a day of interactive STEM-related demonstrations with FMA member companies. The event, hosted by FMA Patriot Partner Howard Community College, exposed students to the wide range of high-demand career paths available in the Fort Meade region.

The Fort Meade Alliance’s Career Chats are in full swing for the fall semester. This initiative brings representatives from FMA member companies into high schools and colleges in the Fort Meade region, allowing students to talk with a wide variety of industry professionals about their career paths and their organizations.

We are honored and grateful that BigBear.ai selected the Fort Meade Alliance Foundation for this year’s My Cause, My Cleats campaign. Their partnership with the Washington Commanders was brought to life through custom cleats designed by veteran-owned studio Passion for Ezra and a public auction, which is now open for bidding. The auction closes on January 5, 2026.

| | Close to 300 guests enjoyed cocktails, a dazzling variety of food stations, exciting casino-themed fundraising stations and signature table games that raised more than $57,000 for initiatives that support vital resiliency efforts for our military and their families, create valuable education initiatives and build opportunities for an inclusive workforce in the Fort Meade region. |

Hundreds of toys and gift cards were generously donated to the USO’s Project Elf, which provides holiday gifts to military children at Fort Meade. |
