Small Companies Navigating Shifts in the Fort Meade Market
Contracting opportunities for small businesses — including some very large opportunities — are plentiful at Fort Meade. However, conditions over the past two years – pandemic-induced contracting delays, loss of contracting staff, changes in contract vehicles, mergers and acquisitions of companies, the arrival of startup firms, and heightened competition from the commercial sector – have produced considerable changes in the business environment.
Contractors need to understand those changes and their implications in order for companies to succeed in their business plans and Fort Meade agencies to succeed in their missions.

The Fort Meade Alliance (FMA) is proud to introduce the Military Wellness Community Connection, a new initiative designed to support the unique needs of our veteran and active military service personnel and their families.
Because May is Mental Health Awareness Month and June is National PTSD Awareness Month, we’d like to connect the holistic needs of the Fort Meade community with the services available in the region. Local businesses and organizations have volunteered to be hosts in this new initiative by donating services to support the unique needs of the Fort Meade region.

Services include martial arts, equine-assisted activities, veterans peer support groups and much more!
