Attention Canton and Norwood Businesses!

The Neponset River Regional Chamber, in partnership with the Town of Canton, has launched a new program to assist small businesses in the Town of Canton that have been impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic with critical upgrades to their online presence and visibility. Funding for this program is provided by Norfolk County’s American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funding granted to the Town of Canton. The program is being managed by the Neponset River Regional Chamber.

Grants will vary based on individual needs and available funds and will assist a small business with website and social media design and consultation. Applications will be accepted on a rolling basis and awards will be first-come first-served until funds are depleted. Services purchased prior to enrollment in this program are not eligible for reimbursement.

The Chamber offered a similar program to small businesses throughout the region in 2022 and 2023. During that time 15 local businesses received web design and social media services which helped them modernize their business and remain competitive during the pandemic.

The Town of Norwood has opened the engagement phase of its Comprehensive Plan. Those who live and/or work in Norwood are highly encouraged to submit their thoughts about its future. Click on the button below to learn more about how to submit feedback.

The Norwood Comprehensive Plan will be a 10-year vision and roadmap for the Town's future. This Plan will be the foundational policy document for the Town - guiding local decisions about future growth, preservation, and change.

It’s very important that the town hears from local businesses about the future of the community.

Please take a moment to add your voice to the future of Norwood.

Ribbon Cutting at Grand Rising

Grand Rising Behavioral Health, a new full-service outpatient mental health center co-founded by acclaimed rapper/actor George Carroll aka Slaine, celebrated its grand opening at its Norwood site on Monday, with a ribbon-cutting featuring local officials and special guests.

Grand Rising is the second behavioral health venture from Carroll, a recovery professional and Boston-born rapper/actor who has toured the world as a musician and starred in several Hollywood films, including “The Town,” “Gone Baby Gone,” “The Joker: Folie a Deux,” and the forthcoming “King Ivory.”

Carroll, an active leader in the New England recovery community, co-founded Grand Rising with Jon Foster, a fellow artist, recovery professional and entrepreneur, and Armando Petruzziello, president of Northern Lights Development. The three are also co-founders of Charles River Recovery in Weston. Foster, a Boston-born musician and actor, has an extensive background in real estate and business and has a health care management certification from Cornell University.

Set in a warm and welcoming environment, Grand Rising provides compassionate care with full wrap-around services for those dealing with anxiety, depression, post-traumatic stress disorder and other mental health challenges. The new facility, located on Route 1 in Norwood, is a state-of-the-art, inviting space that provides world-class services tailored to each individual.

Among the services are cognitive behavioral therapy and expressive therapy with a curriculum that includes music and art, as well as group and individual therapy, mental health seminars, a speaker series and more. Grand Rising has a licensed professional clinical staff that works with clients to ensure they are receiving appropriate services.
