For such a short month, February in Massachusetts is jam-packed with extra events and excitement! You’ll be on the go all month, from school vacation fun to Black History Month honors and Valentine’s Day celebrations. It’s the perfect time to discover new exhibits, share some sweet treats, and get outside for fresh air and exploration of fun, new activities. Sure, it may be cold, but we love a snowy winter in Massachusetts. Pile on the layers, grab your hat, gloves, and scarf, and GO! Snow much fun made possible by Massachusetts!

Martha’s Vineyard in February is peaceful, perfect month to give your Valentine a special experience, whether a romantic dinner, movie, ice-skating or shopping spree! Mohawk Trail Region

Shake off your winter blues and head to North Adams for the annual WinterFest celebration taking place on February 14th from 10 am to 4 pm. Activities include Box Art and Bonfire with S’mores along Main Street, Free Skating at Peter Foote Skating Rink, the children’s winter carnival, the Artist & Crafts Market at Hotel Downstreet, horse-drawn wagon rides, the annual Chowder Cook-off (Friendly) competition! Nantucket

Nantucket is magic in February! Endless beaches, deserted hiking/walking trails island-wide. Visit 1,117-acre Coskata-Coatue, walk to Great Point Light as seals haul-out on the sand. You’re invited to Salem’s So Sweet Chocolate and Ice Sculpture Festival February 6–8. A decadent tradition of delectable chocolate, sparkling ice sculptures, and Valentine’s Day shopping. Join Mass Audubon for the Joppa Flats’ Merrimack River Eagle Festival on February 14 starting at 9 am for a full day of fun indoor and outdoor activities that celebrate the return of the bald eagles.
