Highlights Featured in our Mid-Year Impact Report

Our Child Development Services team work with child care providers like Sharon Brandes and Ivy Paige (pictured above) who participate in our Voluntary Registration program!

Voluntary Registration is a form of regulation offered to family day homes that are not required by law to be licensed. It is available to child care providers who care up to four children in their homes – not including your own children.

Sharon and Ivy shared their stories working with our team and their successes with our coaching--watch their testimonies her e.

Jade is a 4th grader who was referred to our Mental Health Services School-Based Services program after losing both of her caregivers.

After building trust with her clinician and using play therapy as a tool, Jade is able to regulate her emotions and is achieving her treatment goals.

Donor Spotlight: Virginia Health Care Foundation

Last fall, ChildSavers launched a new partnership with Colonial Heights City Public Schools and the Virginia Health Care Foundation (VHCF), offering access to trauma-informed mental health services for children at Lakeview Elementary School.

VHCF awarded ChildSavers a two-year $264,195 grant to support the Nurture Now: Helping Kids Shine initiative, including the hiring of a full-time therapist and a portion of a site supervisor for the first year of the new school-based therapy program at Lakeview Elementary School.

Thanks to our friends at the VHCF, we anticipate serving at least 30 children through over 700 therapy sessions annually!

NEW DATE: ChildSavers Block Party

As we look ahead to celebrate this incredible milestone, we invite all to our clinic on Saturday, May 17th for a neighborhood Block Party from 12pm-5pm.

We welcome all clients, child care providers, community groups, friends, and supporters of ChildSavers to join together in one celebration at this free, non-ticketed event. There will be music, food trucks, and plenty of family-friendly activities and games!
