February 2020
February's been so busy, it's felt shorter than it already is. This month we've built a bookshelf, re configured a closet (you can see that below), built a bulk head over kitchen cabinets to keep some cats from climbing, put up some crown moulding, patch loads of drywall holes, and so on... We were also named a Best of HomeStars winner for the 5th year in a row. Sorry for the double send. Constant Contact had a glitch.
Tip Of The Month: Tech Tips
This month we decided to go with some simple tips, that cover a variety of questions we've been asked over the last few months. Hopefully you find these as useful as the customers that asked about them.

Jesus Murphy, That's a Cool Bed!
As many of you know Erik's been in his new condo for just over a year. His 408 square foot studio meant he had to be creative to turn 1 room into an office, kitchen, living room, dining room, theatre (we'll save that for next month... stay tuned) and of course a bedroom. To make all of this possible Erik decided to go with a Murphy bed.

There are many amazing Murphy beds out on the market today some even become love seats and desks when the bed is up. Erik decided to go with the standard single function piece, because of both price and lifestyle. Two people living in one studio, makes a bed/desk combo difficult when one person is tired.

Murphy beds may not be for everyone, and most people with more space may not think anything of them. However there are some big pros to them. They save a lot of space allowing you to have an exercise room or office as well as a wonderful guest room. You can also clean underneath the bed with ease by simply putting the bed up and out of the way.

There are cons to them also, more moving part means more things to break. however Erik's is still working perfectly and it goes up and down a few times a week.
They are also more expensive than a "normal" bed frame... but a heck of a lot cheaper than a bigger house (especially in Toronto).

Bon't be afraid to try something out of the norm. You may be surprised how much you appreciate the extra space. You can checkout Wayfair or Hiddenbed.ca for inspiration.
