RAC Family,

So many different things demand our attention these days and it is all too easy to put our health on the back burner. There will always be something begging for your time and energy. You just have to choose wisely where you invest it. We implore you to evaluate where most of your energies are spent, that way you can decide how to make time for your health. While your journey into health and wellness is an individual endeavor, it does not mean that it needs to be done all alone. You are more likely to succeed if you’re woven into a community. A community does not just refer to a group of people. What makes an aggregation of people into a community is that they are drawn together around some common object. That is vital. Community grows naturally out of shared experience. As these shared experiences develop so does the intensity of the community.

This is a beautiful recipe for living out your health aspirations because it slowly takes the pressures of having to do it all by yourself. It’s a whole lot easier to get out of bed to go to the gym when you know there is a community of like minded people or a friend who will hold you accountable if you don’t show up. It also breeds a different kind of energy that cannot be easily generated by oneself. Even if you do work out by yourself, it is undoubtedly helpful when there is a group of regulars who work out at the same time as you. In those moments, you are sharing a similar experience with someone else. All of the seemingly benign interactions, the familiar faces and the small talk, actually play a big role in your overall experience.

Here at RAC, we strive to nourish the communities within the community. We want everyone to be a part of our overarching goal to transform people's lives through health and fitness. Take note of your community next time you’re at the club. Whether you are in a large group class, a private small group, or even just working out by yourself, understand that you play a pivotal role in the experience of your peers standing right next to you. Your health depends on it.

Swimming year round at RAC... really!
Youth Swimming is off to a Rockin’ Start in 2019
Between the New Year’s Clinic and the High School Swim Clinic, Rollingwood had upwards of 85 swimmers between the ages of 5 and 18 in the water, braving the elements, and working on being the best versions of themselves in and out of the water. This is the largest organized swim program the month of January has ever seen at RAC, and it is a testament to the swimmers, parents, and coaches that have stuck with this program and rebuilt it to one of the premier swim programs. 2019 is going to be a special year in the water and on the pool deck at RAC. Find out how you can be a part of it, you don’t want to miss out.
March Stroke and Turn Clinic
March Stroke and Turn Clinic is right around the corner! This four-week clinic runs from March 4 to March 29 and is designed for swimmers ages 5-18 years that want to get a stroke tune-up before the recreational swim season begins. Our experienced coaches will work on proper stroke mechanics for all four competitive strokes (freestyle, breaststroke, backstroke and butterfly) in a FUN and positive way. Members and non-members are welcome.
Registration forms are currently available at the club.
