Studies have shown that New Year's resolutions, especially as it relates to the fitness, tend to last about six weeks. Don't be a statistic. A surefire way to fail is trying to do everything on your own. That's why we have built-in accountability here to keep you happy and healthy.

There are many reasons why doing everything on your own tends to lead to nowhere. Training with a partner, with a personal trainer, or in a group of friends is the perfect system for accountability. When you train by yourself and don't feel like working out, the inclination might be to skip out on that workout. However, when regularly attending a class setting, peers will notice your absence. Knowing this gives you that extra edge and thus makes it less likely to skip out on that same workout. Also, many times, peers will even reach out and make sure you're there next time. Surely your trainer won't let you skip out on workouts either...

There's so much more to working out with a partner in a group than just pure accountability. Research shows that training with a partner or group also can actually elevate your workout. This concept is known as synergy. The sum of individual efforts will never be as great as the sum of the efforts of a group. There's a reason that elite athletes often train in groups or with a trainer. They know that to reach their potential, another individual will help them achieve higher levels of performance. 

Lastly, we as humans are neurologically wired for connection. Your genetic makeup to function within a community is woven into the very fibers of your being. This plays huge implications in the role of your health and fitness. Everyone knows that exercise is necessary to human health and flourishing, but why do so many people fail at this? How many people do you know who get a membership at a club then cancel six months later because they don't use it? Get involved right away.

Annual SATA Interclub Camp - Match Love Play

On February 10 & 11, starting at 11:00 am, we will running an Adult Interclub Camp designed to better shape your doubles game and get you excited and ready for Spring Tennis.

Designed for beginners to 4.0 players, coach Bobby and his team have something cooked up that is not only informative and helpful, but a lot of fun too! From doubles strategies to drills and live point play, we've got the formula that will not only improve a players weaknesses but also emphasize and isolate their strengths.

After day two competitive play, players will be hanging out deck-side with food, drinks, and music while watching our Rollingwood pro's battle it out in some fun social doubles.

Round Robin
After a winter hiatus, Wednesday Night Round Robin is back in full swing.
On  January, 31 at 6 pm , our Captain on deck, Dirk Pearson will be running the show.  He will have a clip board out for sign-ups, organize the position of play, then on to fun rotating doubles with friends.

Following tennis play, hang out on the deck with the tennis gang. Please come join us!

Sunday High School Clinic is a Hit!
Every  Sunday  from 12-2 pm we have a healthy handful of juniors who work on improving all areas of their game.  From intermediate to advanced, Coaches Bobby and Daryl, strategize and execute ways to challenge their players to continue to better their results in their tournaments and High School league matches.  From isolated drills, to live point play, to practice matches.

March Stroke and Turn Clinic
The annual March Stroke and Turn Clinic is right around the corner! This four-week clinic runs from March 5 to March 30 and is designed for swimmers ages 5-18 years that want to get a stroke tune-up before the recreational swim season begins. Swimmers will work on all four strokes (freestyle, breaststroke, backstroke and butterfly) up to 3 days per week. Our experienced coaches will work on proper stroke mechanics and stroke refinement in a FUN and positive way. RAC Members and non-members welcome. RAC's championship swim team, the Rollingwood Rockets, are gearing up for another amazing year! The Rockets compete in the NorCal Swim League, and are open to water-safe athletes ages 4 to 18 years. Welcoming Breana Brand as our new Kids' Activities Director!
Breana joined our team in January, and has been working the front desk, so some RAC members may already be familiar with her.

Breana is currently studying to be a pediatric nurse, and is also a nanny, but is eager to bring her enthusiasm and energy to our Kids Department. She has some great ideas for our Kids Klub, Junior Lounge and our Summer Camp.

She will officially be overseeing the department beginning mid February, and will be able to meet all of our junior members and families. Please introduce yourselves and your kids to Breana. She is eager to meet them all!

During the Winter break RAC's Jr. Lounge will be open during AM hours. 
Monday - Friday |  8 am - 12 pm as well as regular afternoon hours.

Rollingwood Summer Camp will be held weekly, running from June 11, 2018 through August 10, 2018.

There are a total of 9 weeks of summer fitness, tennis, swimming and fun for ages 5 - 12 years.

Summer Camp themes to include; Hawaiian Hullabaloo, Mad Science, Camp RACs Got Talent, Wildlife Adventure, Sports Extravaganza, Treasure Hunters, Splish Splash and more!
