RAC Family,

It goes without saying that COVID-19 has disrupted the health club industry ultimately changing the landscape for athletic clubs and studios nationwide. Between the combination of numerous operations functioning at limited capacity, masses of people working remotely, and a growing reliance on digital technology for various services, many people are increasingly becoming more isolated. Human interaction and connection is quickly becoming a luxury.

However, at Rollingwood we are fortunate to have forged a strong community over the past several decades through multitudes of contributions from both our members and staff alike. The memorable connections formed through the various relationships within our community is what makes our club the home away from home. When you become a member at RAC, you buy more than just product or service. You buy hours, days, weeks, and months of failures and experiments, but also pure moments of joy, happiness and accomplishment. You do not buy a place to workout, you buy a piece of our soul... a part of our lives!

Let’s continue to build our community ties and flourish during this age of isolation.

Sincerely, BG

Tennis News
The last two months have been an electrifying time for the RAC tennis program. Our one-day UTR tournaments on Saturdays have become favorite for regional players of all ages. The Universal Tennis Rating system allows players to be paired into "level-based" tournament groups to enhance the quality of competition. It has been great to see such high-quality matches every Saturday between players of all ages and all genders. I am also excited to announce a new UTR event format to more specifically cater to adult players.

On Sunday, February 21st we will be doing our first trial event that will use the same framework as our UTR singles events but will be doubles only and adults and teenagers only (to allow some parent-child combos!). The event will be played from 11:00 am-2:00 pm on Sunday, February 21st. As a RAC member you do not have any UTR fees, join us on court and start building your UTR rating!
In other tennis news, we continue to send our well wishes to Coach Keith Gilbert who has been out for some time on medical leave. We don't yet know when he will be able to rejoin us, all we can do is hope he makes a speedy and full recovery.

Our junior competitive program continues to grow rapidly thanks in large part to new staff members Bryce Parmelly and Lovedeep Singh. We are very fortunate to have them aboard our junior program and to help fill in the gaps left in Keith's temporary absence. Coach Bryce is also running an Adult Doubles Clinic each Friday from 2:30-4:00pm. He has many years of experience at the NCAA level and running Nike Tennis Camps. We have had bad luck with weather the last two weeks but get signed up for future Fridays with Bryce!
