mspWellness Champion Highlight
Each month, we’re highlighting one of the 2022 mspWellness Champions. Champions are organizations that create, implement, and promote wellness programs as part of their organizational culture, and meet the criteria defined by the Minneapolis Regional Chamber and the Hennepin County and City of Minneapolis Departments of Health. The Champion designation program was created to recognize and celebrate organizations who work to positively affect the health and well-being of their employees and communities. February’s featured mspWellness Champion is Rockler Companies, Inc.

Rockler Companies, Inc, in Medina, Minnesota, has taken a direct, motivational approach to employee wellness this year. In order to increase engagement with the company’s employee wellness programming, Rockler is offering significant financial incentives to employees for participation.

Now, employees that participate in just one employee wellness activity per quarter will receive between $700 and $1,000 matching funds to their Health Savings Account. This includes company-sponsored wellness activities and a variety of other options related to specific health and wellness areas. Additionally, Rockler continues to provide an employee-led wellness program with at least one representative from each company department. Wellness representatives in each department disperse helpful information to their respective teams and help champion employee wellness directly and consistently. The company has had great success with this structure and is committed to continuing to support this important work.

mspWellness is thrilled to celebrate and share employee wellness stories like that of Rockler Companies. We’re even more thrilled to share that a new Champion designation application for 2023 will open this spring, with a new round of mspWellness Champions to be announced this summer! Stay tuned for more information on the Champion designation program and how to apply, coming in next month’s newsletter.
