Out with the old and in with the new!
It is finally time for us at Hydra-Tech Pumps to say goodbye to an old friend – our work truck. This 2010 Ford F250 made countless trips to our local foundries, machine shops, fab shops and the galvanizer to pick up and deliver components essential to our manufacturing operation. It plowed its share of snow from our parking lot through ten unpredictable Pennsylvania winters. As well, there were many customer sales and training visits made in the truck, sometimes dragging a hydraulic power unit behind. It also made a couple of trips to get our crew to Indianapolis for the WWETT Show. With over 190,000 miles showing on the odometer and repair costs beginning to add up, it was time to find a new ride.

After some searching and internal debate as to what would best serve our needs, we are excited to introduce you to our new work truck. This thing is a beast. A 2020 Chevrolet HD2500 quad cab with an 8’ bed. This bad boy is ready to go to work for us and will be put to good use immediately.
2020 WWETT Show recap
Last week Hydra-Tech Pumps exhibited at one of our favorite trade shows – WWETT. WWETT stands for Water & Wastewater Equipment, Treatment & Transport and the show is held annually in Indianapolis. You can learn more about it at www.wwettshow.com. Over 600 companies exhibited for three days and showed off their wares. Over 13,000 people from the United States and all over the world attended the show.

Our booth stayed busy for most of the show with customers and prospects stopping in to talk about our hydraulically driven dewatering pumps and hydraulic power units. There were plenty of familiar faces – people who visit this show every year and are “regulars”. We saw our share of tire kickers and curiosity seekers – typical of any trade show. We also welcomed plenty of people who have a legitimate interest in / need for our equipment. International turnout was good as always with visitors from Mexico, Canada, Trinidad and Tobago, Chile and Australia.

The most unique thing about this show is that unlike every other show we have exhibited at in the last 15 years is that we actually sell some product at the WWETT Show. We offer show specials every year and a number of customers took advantage, bought pumps at the booth and carried them out of the show to their vehicles to take back with them.

We managed to have some fun at the show at the WWETT attendee / exhibitor appreciation night. Held in Lucas Oil Stadium, there was an Indy car pit stop challenge, pictures with an Indy car, pictures and autographs with some Indianapolis Colts cheerleaders, a band, and field goal kicking and beer.

We’re already looking forward to 2021. Will we see you in Indianapolis next year? We’ll be there in booth 3027 – write it down and come and see us!
