'Twas the week before Thanksgiving and all through the town, merchants are busy spreading holiday cheer all around!

The Jingle Bell Market returns to the Florence Center Friday, Saturday and Sunday, and features an upscale, indoor holiday shopping experience with something for everyone! This one-stop holiday shop offers gifts, crafts, apparel, accessories, gourmet foods, wine tastings and so much more.

On Saturday, students from Florence 1 Schools take to the stage for an outdoor concert at the FMU Performing Arts Center. Also Saturday, the Charlie Powell Memorial continues at Florence Motor Speedway and Black Jack Harley Davidson hosts a Native American Heritage Day complete with songs, dancing and storytelling.

Make a reservation for Santa pics at Magnolia Mall - furry friends are welcome, too! You can even book a virtual visit with Santa from the comfort of your own home this year. Also, registration is open for Lake City's Hometown Holidays on Ice free ice skating event.

Chorus, dance & theater 🎭

Florence 1 Schools is hosting an outdoor concert series on Saturday at the FMU Performing Arts Center amphitheatre. Southside Middle School orchestra, chorus, dance and theater students take to the stage at 11 a.m., and students from South Florence High School theater perform selections from Lion King, Jr. at 1 p.m.
Native American Heritage Day πŸ₯

Black Jack Harley-Davidson will honor Native American culture and the annual pow wow tradition Saturday with Native American Heritage Day. The Warpaint Singers from North Carolina will perform songs, dances and storytelling. They will also have food trucks and craft vendors!
Vroom, vroom 🏁

Florence Motor Speedway continues the "Charlie Powell Memorial" on Saturday with the SC 400. The grandstands open at 2 p.m. and racing begins at 4 p.m. For complete details, click here.

Art After Dark 🎨

Create a Christmassy ceramic platter or bowl tonight at Olio Studio! Then come back Wednesday to paint a ceramic holiday plate. You're welcome to bring your own snacks and beverages. Have your picture made with Santa at Magnolia Mall! Reservations are required and can be made here. Pet photos are also available! On Saturday, check out the Holiday Walk-thru Parade at Magnolia Mall from 12 to 2 p.m. for holiday entertainment and vendors.
History Fields: 1943-1944 πŸ“œ

The Lynches Lake Historical Society & Museum presents the history of Lake City in the year 1943-1944 at the Continuum on Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m. Admission is free!
ArtFields Jr. 2021 πŸ–ŒοΈ

The ArtFields Jr. Art Competition is open to South Carolina students in grades 1 through 12. Select pieces will be displayed during the month of April and final judging takes place during ArtFields. The Beauty + Strength exhibit at University Place Gallery offers portrait and figure work and features paintings, drawings, and mixed media from Ija Charles, Sharika Hooks, J. Renee, Adrian Smith, and Maya Smith.

The FMU Kassab Gallery has two exhibits on display through Friday, "Altered Landscapes" by Scotty Peek and "Memories - an Installation" by Symon Gibson.

There are a variety of events this month that are sure to get your blood pumping and your heart racing!

The Rotary Beauty Trail is open for the first time during the holiday season in November and December. The 13-mile trail features bright autumn colors in November and holiday decorations in December. Maps and driving directions are online, and the audio tour is now available by podcast. CDs and maps are also available at the Florence Visitor Center, Florence Library, and Taylor Garden and Gift Shop.

Florence YMCA has extended their no joining fee - hooray!

Registration is open for the City of Florence's Youth Basketball Winter League.

Registration is open for the Wiggle 2 The Finish 5K walk/run. Proceeds support various animal rescues!

Heart & Sole Line Dance presents Line Dance classes on Tuesday evenings from 6 to 8:30 p.m.

The City of Florence Athletics is hosting FREE Line Dancing Tuesdays from 6 to 7 p.m.

Victors shared their new menus this week, and we're happy to report that the always delicious Crescent City Combo is still featured on their fine dining dinner menu! This Victors classic entrΓ©e features Blackened filet mignon, with your choice of one or two medallions, plus fresh grilled shrimp, mashed potatoes, and asparagus all topped with a Cajun cream. Yum!
