ProMedica Physicians Group to Open Family Medicine Office on the Campus of Good Shepherd Home
ProMedica and the Good Shepherd Home are pleased to announce they have partnered to open a ProMedica Physicians Family Medicine office on the Good Shepherd Home campus. The new medical office will be connected to Good Shepherd Home and will offer primary care services to patients in the community and residents of Good Shepherd Home.

“At ProMedica, we know that access to care is vital to ensuring patients are making their health and well-being a priority. Partnering with Good Shepherd Home in Fostoria allows us to live our mission by providing easier access to those who may have more barriers when it comes to seeing their primary care physician,” said Jo Hines, vice president, ProMedica. “With ProMedica’s focus on healthy aging, our hope is that by offering this new concept of having primary care services on the campus of a senior care facility, we’re able to answer and fulfill a need that may have otherwise been unmet.”

Chris Widman, executive director, Good Shepherd Home, said “When Good Shepherd Home evaluates partnership opportunities, we rely on our Mission, Vision and Values Statements to guide us. Our Vision statement reads: ‘As a leader in Christ-centered senior living, Good Shepherd Home will continue to care for residents with a commitment to service and innovation, focused on preparing for the needs of tomorrow’s seniors and their families.’ This project reflects our Vision, and Good Shepherd Home is extremely pleased to partner with Fostoria’s leading primary care provider, ProMedica. We believe ProMedica will enhance Good Shepherd Home’s ability to service those entrusted to our care, while at the same time provide additional opportunities to the greater Fostoria community.”

This new state-of-the-art clinic will mirror other Good Shepherd Home additions and will be a facility the community will take pride in for years to come.

Construction of the new family medicine office is expected to begin in April 2021 and be completed January 2022. 
Peterman Associates Inc. Names Knestrick
VP of Business Affairs
Greg Knestrick has been named Vice-President of Business Affairs for Peterman Associates, Inc., located in Findlay, Ohio. Knestrick has over thirty years of experience in various business capacities and has been with Peterman Associates since 2004 as Marketing Director. In his new role he will continue marketing efforts as well as working with the Chief Operating Officer in all business operations for the firm.
A native of North Olmsted, Ohio, Knestrick is a graduate of the University of Findlay. He has been affiliated with numerous business organizations in Northwest Ohio during his tenure at Peterman. Greg, his wife and two children currently reside in Findlay.

Superior Foundation Announces Third Year of Scholarship Program
The Superior Foundation is pleased to announce that it has approved $30,000 in funding to award up to thirty $1,000 scholarships this spring. Any Superior Credit Union member who meets the scholarship eligibility requirements is welcome to apply.
“We are excited to offer this opportunity to our members,” said Pam Shaw, Executive Director. “As an organization, we believe education is the key to a bright future. This scholarship program will allow us to assist our members as they continue their educational pursuits. Giving back to the communities we serve is a priority for us, and we look forward to awarding these scholarships to deserving students.”
ProMedica Fostoria Community Hospital Auxiliary Accepting Scholarship Applications for Area Students

ProMedica Fostoria Community Hospital Auxiliary has announced they are offering five $400 scholarships to area high school seniors and current college students who are pursuing an education in a health-related field.
 
Applications may be obtained through area high school guidance counselors, at the Fostoria Community Hospital switchboard, or at promedica.org/Fostoria.

Completed applications should be sent to Cindy Reinhard, 2640 Courtly Dr., Fostoria, Ohio 44830 by March 15, 2021. 
Vanguard-Sentinel Career & Technology Centers (VSCTC) is excited to announce an e-Experience as an alternative to the annual public open house event. The e-EXPERIENCE will take place on February 2nd from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. online on the district website at www.vsctc.org. This event will offer students and their families an opportunity to virtually explore the benefits of career-tech education like that offered at VSCTC.

2021 Fostoria Farmers' Markets
The Fostoria Farmers’ Markets were hosted by the Fostoria Garden Club in conjunction with the Fostoria Area Chamber of Commerce & Visitor’s Bureau for the last ten years under the direction of Carol Kinn. In 2020, Carol contacted us to let us know that she planned to retire from the market manager role at the end of last season. We wish to thank Carol and her committee for their creative ideas and countless hours spent in developing what has become a very successful market in Fostoria! As the Community Development/Tourism Director, Michele Cochran will be taking the lead role in managing the Fostoria Farmers’ Market this season.
