Together, we met—and exceeded—our 2016-17 Annual Fund goal, because FVS supporters are amazing!
Many thanks to all who gave.

Midnight Ponderings in the Amazon
|
As part of Fountain Valley School's Round Square membership, Ashby Baker '19 spent the spring quarter at Markham College in Lima, Peru.
With the school, she traveled to the Amazon on a service trip, where the group helped the Sonene community of the Esa'Eja people build "un comedor."

Your Review Brings Students to FVS
|
Students and families are increasingly headed to online school reviews in their decision-making process. Writing a short review of Fountain Valley is a great way for you to help families understand the value and impact of the distinctive FVS education. Alumni and parents are our best advocates, and writing a positive review goes a very long way.
Would you please consider writing one? The top places for prospective families to find us are, in order of importance:
Google (type in Fountain Valley School in search)
You can copy and paste your review in on all three sites.
Thank you! Every review helps.

Mr. Gustke is for the Birds
|
Learning never stops for Fountain Valley School faculty. Science teacher Rob Gustke P '16, '19 embarked on a four-day birding class in July. He went from the top of Trail Ridge Road in Rocky Mountain National Park out to Pawnee Grasslands, and then up some canyons in the foothills of the Front Range.
He was fortunate to see 122 species of birds (Colorado has 502). The Lark Bunting (pictured) is the Colorado state bird, and most of the other birds are quite common right on the FVS campus.

With 1,100 acres of prairie, Fountain Valley School has always been a place where teachers could take advantage of location for innovative learning experiences.
The outdoor education program is no different. With scheduling conflicts making it difficult for a weekend backpacking trip, students just hiked out our their back door for Prairie Night Out.

In early June at Alumni Weekend, Head of School Will Webb announced a new chapter for Fountain Valley School with a $25 million capital campaign.
Construction is well under way, and all of us at FVS are lulled by the sounds of backhoes.
