Inspired by the current exhibition at the Metropolitan Museum of Art,  Masterpieces of Dutch Art (through Oct 4, 2020), art historian
Beth S. Gersh-Nesic, Ph.D., director/owner of the New York Arts Exchange, discusses the stories, artists, iconography, artistic centers,
Bible sources, and theatrical influences which help us understand art made in Holland during  the 17th century. Artists included in this presentation will be Rembrandt, Frans Hals, Johannes Vermeer, Jan Steen,  Judith Leyster, and Rachel Ruysch, among many others.
