Mission Trip 2017 with Fr. John:
You don't have to leave the country to serve the poor. Fr. John will take part in a mission trip to Appalachia in July 2017. Youth entering 9th grade through 12th are invited to take part. Adult chaperones are also needed. Please contact Karen Baker at kbaker@maryqueenofpeace.org if you are interested.

Funds for the trip will be raised through the #iGiveCatholic online giving day on November 29.
March for Life 2017: High school students are invited to take part in the March for Life Pilgrimage, January 24-29, 2017. The cost is $580, including transportation, accommodations, and all admissions.Return the attached form to Fr. Ian Bozant at imbozant@gmail.com or call the office at 985-626-6977.

October 6: Altar server training takes place starting today, for four Thursdays in October, starting at 4 p.m. For students in fifth grade and older. Parents are asked to attend the first meeting. Email Kelly Hightower at mqpservers @gmail.com
October 7: Family Night returns with a twist! This year, we will have three Family Night dinners, hosted by various ministries. Our 7th-grade class from Mary, Queen of Peace Catholic School invites you to enjoy a plate of jambalaya with salad, bread, dessert and a drink. Dine in or take out.
Dinner starts at 5:30 p.m.
October 8-9:
Fr. Wildor Pierre will be visiting from St. Benoit in Haiti. We will have a second collection at all Masses to help our sister parish.
October 9
: Parish Picnic, following 11:30 Mass. We'll share faith, food, and fun with our parish family as we celebrate the 8th anniversary of the dedication of our church building, which took place October 5, 2008.

November 12: Fleur de Fall parish and school fundraiser. This year, we are celebrating with "Diamonds and Denim"! You can dress up or dress down, just step up and support our parish and school!
