Friday Update | November 18, 2022

"Then those who feared the LORD spoke with one another. The LORD paid attention and heard them, and a book of remembrance was written before him of those who feared the LORD and esteemed his name. 'They shall be mine, says the LORD of hosts, in the day when I make up my treasured possession, and I will spare them as a man spares his son who serves him.'"

Malachi 3:16–17

Ingathering of Wine

We will have our annual ingathering of wine at the Thanksgiving Eve service. This wine will be used for the celebration of Holy Communion in the upcoming year. During the worship service, you will have the opportunity to bring your wine forward with your family. You may donate as many bottles of wine as you wish, but please bring forward only one bottle per family during the service. Making this special offering a part of your family’s Thanksgiving Eve worship is a meaningful way to give thanks for the gift of Holy Communion. Please only bring Concord Grape wine (Mogen David.) 750ml and 1.5 L bottles are readily available at your local grocer.

Thanksgiving Gratitude Chain

It's easy to focus on the turkey, football, and party planning, but the heart of Thanksgiving is gratitude for God's gifts. Join your church family as we come together and see just how many things there are to be thankful for! We'll count our blessings and watch our Gratitude Chain get longer and longer each week. Look for the craft station in the Narthex on Sunday to add your prayer of Thanksgiving.

Their main responsibility is to lift their students in prayer throughout the year. If you are interested in becoming a Prayer Pal, sign up using the link below. Thank You, Trinity

For making the LWML Soup-to-Go and Bake Sale a success! Proceeds totaled $1,800 and will go equally to LWML National Mites, LCMS Southern District for Florida hurricane relief and LWML Louisiana-Mississippi District for the District Mission Grants. It took many hands with an array of talent and a Trinity team effort to make this event successful. Thank you to all of our cooks, crafters, set-up and tear-down team, shoppers, and everyone else who contributed to the event!

Thank you also to everyone who submitted information for Trinity veterans so that we could honor them in our pre-service slides. We featured 26 veterans!

Renew Lutheran Witness Now

Trinity Lutheran School

We are thankful for you!

During this Thanksgiving season I want to take the time to thank you, our congregation, for your continued support of OUR school. It is truly, OUR school, a ministry of Trinity Lutheran Church. We are able to minister to 72 students and their families every day—praying with and for them, offering tuition assistance, providing a rigorous academic program, and planting seeds of faith daily.

If you have a school-aged child, please consider visiting OUR school. If tuition costs are a concern, we will work with you to provide assistance. Trinity Lutheran School is your school too! Put this date on your calendar: January 19, 2023. It would be amazing to have every family with school-aged children in our congregation to visit us during the Open House scheduled for that date. We want to share with you what we offer now, our plans for the future, and how you can be a part of it by enrolling your child in Trinity Lutheran School!

God’s Blessings!

Marinea McGehee, Principal
