The Gift in Action initiative is part of an ongoing effort to share the impact of your gift to the Jewish Federation of Ottawa's Annual Campaign. It is because of your generosity that Federation can support important community programs and projects, like welcoming newcomers to Jewish Ottawa.

In addition to our annual work, Federation’s Community Building team has recently undertaken several programs aimed at supporting and connecting newcomers to Jewish Ottawa, including collaborative events for Russian-speaking families from Israel, Ukraine, and Russia. Most recently, a special brunch was held for Mother’s Day attended by 70 people including children. In the last month alone, our team had approximately 85 coffee dates with various community members, from new people to those seeking to connect in new ways, aimed at making ALL individuals and families know they are welcomed, supported, and included in our community.
