Every Lion has a unique experience here at O'Hara and this Giving Tuesday we asked some Lions to describe what their O'Hara experience has been like. Thanks to the generosity of many, Cardinal O'Hara has educated more than 32,000 young men and women since 1963. And as the cornerstone of Catholic education in Delaware County, O'Hara has helped many Lions succeed and pursue their dreams.

Meet Lily Bernard '21. Lily has made a tremendous impact in the time that she has spent here at O'Hara: National Honor Society, Lion Ambassador, Track, CSC, The "Good Citizenship Award..." All of this is part of Lily's O'Hara experience!

As the daughter of an alum (Sharon Murphy Bernard '89), Lily knows the great tradition of excellence at Cardinal O'Hara, "To me, O’Hara is home. When I walk through its doors, I am in a place where I feel safe and appreciated. It is a place that has allowed me to create great friendships, discover my talents, and expand my academic horizon." 
Meet Jack Gallagher '22. The son of alum Chip '89, Jack has already forged a path of leadership and service at O'Hara. As a junior leader of the Community Service Corps, Jack has volunteered at countless events like the annual Spanish Apostolate Christmas breakfast, Don Guanella/Divine Providence events, and Operation Santa Claus.

As a member of the COHS Students for Life club, Jack has attended workshops and lectures, including the March for Life. Jack's commitment to service and to his school is obvious in all that he does!
Meet Melanie Jackson '22. Mel embodies the Lion spirit and always volunteers to help. Her charisma and dedication to O'Hara are extraordinary.

Mel is an exceptional student leader and a host of WCOH's Wake Up O'Hara. "My O’Hara experience includes some of my greatest memories that I will remember for years to come. From the Girl’s Tennis team winning PCL’s to being featured on KYW News Radio, O’Hara has given me so many opportunities I wouldn’t be able to get at any other school. In my academic life, my O’Hara education has helped me succeed and become more confident in the classroom."
