Hillel Ottawa and Chabad Student Network – supporting our university students.

The past academic year was difficult for students due to the pandemic and an increase in antisemitism.

In this time of heightened stress, your gift helped Hillel Ottawa and Chabad Student Network provide more than 1150 meals-to-go for university students on Ottawa’s campuses for Shabbat and the Jewish holidays, including supplies for Passover.

Your support enables Hillel Ottawa and Chabad Student Network to provide Jewish students safe spaces to express their Jewishness and to feel connected.
“Throughout this past COVID year, Hillel Ottawa has continued to successfully pivot to meet the needs of students. While we could not gather in person, we made every effort to ‘bring the Hillel home’ to students. Through generous donations, we were able to offer monthly Shabbat meals-to-go, deliver holiday supplies and goodie bags, and continue to engage students in an online capacity. Many students have reached out saying how thankful they are to Hillel for continuing to offer them a sense of community during an otherwise very isolated year.”
