What a remarkable year it has been! Thanks to your trust and passion, our team has dedicated the past 12 months to working on over 140 cases tracing Greek ancestry all over Greece. We've also celebrated exciting milestones, including our move to a new office at the heart of Athens. Together, we embarked on journeys to connect with family, spent countless hours researching in archival repositories and libraries, and successfully digitized and indexed dozens of thousands of old Greek records. This collective effort has not only strengthened our Greek genealogy community but has also made our field more accessible and captivating than ever before!

In Patras, there were numerous cafés, and Jacques chose to celebrate Christmas in one of them named "Kanakaris," after the well-known family of Patras. On Christmas night, after an argument that arose in the café, the celebration continued at the house of a soldier from Mesolongi. The French soldier was impressed by the host's warm welcome and hospitality. Initially, the group was greeted with a sweet made of oil, dough, and honey, and was offered cognac and Turkish coffee.
