Amid thought provoking times, including geopolitical developments, reflection is healthy. While Covid’s heartbreaking impact recedes, integral life lessons may be keenly seen and adeptly applied. I take this opportUNITY to reflect on first Practice Growth Insights issue, with vivid memories of wondering where our narrative journey would lead...
It began:

“Dear Colleagues and Friends,

“As a community, nation, and world, we must now navigate daily impacts of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. Every day, our hearts and compassionate thoughts go out to all those affected in so many ways. In the weeks and months to come, as challenging events evolve rapidly, being hopeful and helpful will serve us all well.

“As empathetic healthcare providers, you are professionally dedicated to providing expert diagnostics and personalized plans of care, in safe surroundings. As you do so with every patient, every day, you are great listeners who strive to play a vital role.

“As caring audiologists, you know how important it is for patients to be able to communicate effectively with loved ones, friends, colleagues and other healthcare providers. In the months and years to come, you will empower those in need to best experience the joy of hearing and improve their quality of life.

“As professional leaders, it is crucial to consider, in due course, why and how current events can be positive catalysts. Just as September 11, 2001, taught us more about airport security or hurricanes and tornadoes show the impact of destructive weather patterns, what kinds of aspirational responses might COVID-19 trigger?”

Aspirationally, 47 weeks later we learned how Atomic Habits (Tiny Changes, Remarkable Results) can enable us to get 1% better every day = 37.78x yearly. Envisage positive influences collectively achievable by getting 38x (or 3–5x…) better on patient-centered priorities.

Like ambitious Olympic athletes, we can dedicate ourselves to What’s Possible.
HDI aims for Practice Growth Insights (PGI) getting 1% (or >…) better every week, habitually inspired by progressive practices confidently sharing strategic dreams. In hearing healthcare, it is amazing how much collaborative gain active listening stimulates.

With your key guidance, PGI seek to consistently improve via timely topics, informative content and genuine desire to empower industry leaders. What specific topic would you like a future issue to feature? My useful topic idea is...

To Level Up, our new website is exclusively devoted to PGI. Can you guess URL?

User-friendly exploration is at your fingertips by:

For example, querying e-newsletters shows:

With pertinent content located, you can easily review issue(s) of interest, easily accessing proprietary content for evaluation.

As another example, favorable trends are evident with Senior Living Communities (SLC) re-opening doors to healthcare provider interactions. Sadly, with Covid-19 and prominent lack of mobility issues prominent, too many seniors have not received necessary diagnostics and treatment to improve their quality of life, including hearing related. For those practices with established SLC relationships, growing them is opportune. For those eager to initiate, now is the time.
To facilitate doing so, grassroots educational marketers adopt an “out of the box” yet intuitive idea.

When searching for bingo, we see:

In fact, SLC Resident Directors delight in discovering new programs that will:
With Hearing Health BINGO, you’ve got numbers and educational expertise they can count on.

As your PGI search journeys take shape, let’s discuss growth issues you have in mind.
