Community Alfresco Spaces

Do you want to host an event in our Alfresco Spaces!

We have created two public spaces available for community use. Both spaces, one on Glenwood between Morse & Lunt and the other at Jarvis Square (Jarvis Red Line) are available for anyone in the community, including businesses in the area, to use.

Because both spaces are open to the public and are located in the public way, admission to any events must be free. Food, drinks or merchandise can be sold with proper permitting and licensing.

Request event approval a minimum of 2 weeks in advance.

24th District Beat Meetings

In the 49th Ward, the 24th District patrols six Beats. Each patrol Beat in the Chicago Police Department hosts monthly or bi-monthly community Beat meetings. The primary purpose of the Beat community meetings is to allow Beat residents, other community stakeholders and police to discuss chronic problems on the Beat and to engage in problem-solving. Beat community meetings provide an opportunity for police and community residents to exchange information about conditions in the neighborhood, identify crime and disorder problems and develop strategies to combat those problems. The meeting also provides an opportunity for the police and the community to get to know one another.

Find your Beat and the Beat schedule on the map here. Click the brackets on the upper right-hand corner of the map to open in Google Maps.
