Your Guide to March at RCC

Hello Friends,

Reston Community Center welcomes a new Community Events Director, Kaia Greene. Kaia (rhymes with Maria) is very busy acquainting herself with all the events and programs scheduled for the coming months. New employees also go through extensive training to learn Fairfax County government policies and procedures. She was raised in Knoxville, Tennessee, and she is a graduate of Dartmouth College and UMass Amherst. Kaia has worked in Florida at Disney, Kissimmee Parks and Recreation, and Orange County Public Schools. RCC is fortunate that she has moved north to join our team.

Fitness and Wellness is offering two new yoga classes this Spring for your consideration, YogaStretch for Healthy Aging and Yoga for Strength and Stillness. These both have sections that start this month at RCC Lake Anne.

Diva Central Prom Dress Shopping Event is on Saturday, March 25 from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at RCC Lake Anne. This amazing one-day shopping opportunity is open to any current middle or high school student who needs a formal dress, shoes, jewelry, and other accessories. My daughter took advantage of this fun opportunity to get a prom dress when she went to South Lakes High School. Participants will be able to enjoy their spring dance events in style without breaking the bank and knowing they are leaving a light environmental footprint by giving fancy outfits extra life.

Diva Central Dress Giveaway

March 25, 2023 - RCC Lake Anne

Diva Central, RCC’s annual prom and formal dress giveaway boutique event is open to any current middle or high school student who needs a formal dress, shoes, jewelry and other accessories. Everything is absolutely FREE. Limit two dresses, one set of accessories and one pair of shoes per person. Please remember, dresses and accessories are only available to middle and high school students.
